Academics

At the heart of our academic philosophy is a commitment to developing curious, capable, and compassionate learners. Through a carefully designed curriculum and a wealth of co-curricular opportunities, students are encouraged to explore their passions, embrace challenges, and grow into confident, future-ready individuals.

At Al-Qalam Academy (AQA), we are dedicated to providing a well-rounded and academically rigorous education that nurtures both the mind and the soul. Our curriculum is aligned with the standards of the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE), ensuring our students receive a high-quality, accredited academic foundation.

In addition to core academic subjects, Al-Qalam Academy offers a strong focus on Islamic Studies, Qur’an, and the Arabic Language, cultivating spiritual growth and identity alongside academic achievement. Our program also includes a wide range of electives such as Physical Education (PE), Art, and Coding, providing students with opportunities to explore their interests and develop 21st-century skills.

Through our commitment to academic excellence, character development, and faith-based education, AQA prepares students to succeed in higher education and to become responsible, ethical leaders in their communities.
